Why were there no fighter pilot jets in the Manhattan Air Space immediately after the first hit? 18 minutes is not a lot of time to hear, react and scramble. How did they allow an aircraft to veer towards the Pentagon almost after one hour the first hit? It looks like the other side has better military and intelligence than the mighty US. If I'm not mistaken, the Pentagon is in or very, very near the flight path of the airport. If so, there could only be 30 seconds or so from veering to impact.
