I merely observe the most likely results of today for Israel. The attitudes of the US and Europe to terrorism will harden. Sharon will get a green light for any action he wants to take. Residual support for Arafat in the US and Europe will disappear.

The Palestinians have preferred "euphoria in the ruins", as Fouad Adjami puts it, over any course that will lead to statehood. It is a catastrophe for the Palestinians, and they are rejoicing at it.

And how dare you tell us to have respect for the dead, while you say nothing about the Palestinians dancing with joy over our ten thousand dead?
