Extended Stay America, Inc. Announces the Opening of its Fifth Property in
Michigan

Extended Stay America, Inc. (NASDAQ:STAY) has opened its newest property in
Farmington Hills, Michigan. The rapidly growing chain of extended stay lodging
facilities is developing properties nationwide.

According to President and Chief Executive Officer George D. Johnson, Jr., "The
extended stay lodging market is the fastest growing segment of the hotel
industry, and is quickly catching the interest of business professionals, people
relocating and those on extended work assignments. Extended Stay America

The 113-room property in Farmington Hills is located at 27775 Stansbury Blvd.,
just off of Highway 696. The three-story property incorporates an interior
corridor and provides easy access to downtown Detroit.
