Kent - Interesting article on Applied Materials. Thursday's Wall Street Journal featured the "All Star" Analysts. David Wu, three time All Star and top analyst in the semiconductor sector (up 100% last year) noted his picks:

"He [Wu] also likes semiconductor equipment maker Applied Materials. The equipment stocks haven't done much yet [no kidding] because chip makers are only beginning to expand capacity and order new equipment again. But Mr. Wu expects Applied Material to grow past $100 a share (from a recent $40 or so) as it gains market share over struggling rivals."

Looks like some experts predict a turn around here or at least an increase in orders, at least for some companies.

Best - Joe
