Bank of England auction

The Bank of England will hold its gold auction Wednesday morning as planned despite the tragic events in the U.S.

On Wednesday, the bank will sell about 20 metric tons of gold in its third auction in a program of six that will run through March.

Bullion dealers have said it'd be a disaster if the BOE auction was canceled, said John Mesrobian, president of Constantinople Advisors, noting that prices for gold would go up even higher.
