Hmm... Mani.. there is wisdom in some of your words (life goes on)...
But I don't believe it will be difficult to find a "direction" toward which to vent our rage:
"Bullseye," say Egyptians as they celebrate anti-US attacks
asia.dailynews.yahoo.com
Palestinians in Lebanon fire with joy at anti-US attacks
sg.news.yahoo.com
The footage being shown from the Arab quarter of Jerusalem of these Palestinians chanting and applauding this attack will provide sufficient "fodder" for propaganda machines to create whatever impression they desire of the Palestinian people.
This act, and the Palestinian response to it being shown on BBC and CNN, will utterly undercut any international support and sympathy these people might have possessed in the international community.
They are now part of the international problem, and the rest of world realizes that if it can happen to the US, then they are even more susceptible to such forms of attacks. The Palestinians have become irretreivably associated with suicide bombings, and the entire world realizes that it could one day be themselves, and not those other poor saps, who were on those 4 airliners used as flying bombs.
The Palestinians are screwed... and they have only themselves, and their decrepid leadership, to blame.
It's little wonder that Arafat is trying to distance himself as much as he can from this act...
But it's too late... the die has been cast and the Palestinians just rolled snake-eyes.
