While there is a chance that Tuesday's actions could tip a tettering world economy into global recession, I think there is a significantly greater chance that it will lead to a significant recovery. Large amounts of money will be spent on airport security, national defense, rebuilding of NYC, replacement of technology and telecommunications equipment. Increased spending is what is needed to revive the US economy. Again, i am not minimizing the horrible loss of life. The US market will very predictable sell off on Thursday or whenever they re-open the stock exchange. One significant problem will be the ability to clear trades for the volume expected. I think each of has a chance/choice of being a doomsdayer or rays-of-hope. I am in the latter camp, albeit scared. larry
