Good morning Datekers!!

I've been reading your posts concerning putting in an order between the bid and ask price and wanted to add something that happened to me this week..

In 3 different limit buy orders (of which I was between the bid and ask) this week I was very frustrated. During the time I was waiting for my buy to happen, I noticed that someone else was buying at the price I had asked for--but it didn't happen for me so I ended up cancelling totally or else bidding a highter price.

Yesterday was even more frustrating when I put in a MARKET order at 8 minutes BEFORE the market even opened ... before my order went through the stock had jumped 5 pts. I tried to cancel, but before it was confirmed the order went through -- 4 1/2 minutes AFTER the market opened! And you all know what happened shortly after that ... I had to turn right around and sell because I knew it would start dropping..which it did! What should've been a quick profit was a small loss.

How in the world am I supposed to buy and take advantage of a good deal quickly??? I have a friend who tried "over night trading" but wasn't happy with the few trades he made.

And yes, I really like Datek ... I've been happy with them in the past, but this week wasn't pretty!

Well ... that's my news. Any comments or suggestions?

Have a great weekend everyone!!!

Ginger
