fin,

Sure... only freedom of religion...

Oh yes, and the fact that the US did not allow German SS troops to just come to this country, or the Japanese soldiers was just a terrible lapse in our policy of freedom of religion.

Every religion in the world has its own fanatics and terrorists... Do we ban conservative Christian immigrants because some fanatics kill abortion providers?

And you forgot to mention the British nanny who shook that baby who might have caused the baby's death. There is no difference in in 100s of thousands of muslims that are being admitted to this country, many of whom share the goals of the terrorists who committed most of the anti-american attacks around the world and that British nanny. Singling the arabs/muslims is just one ugly act of intolerance on my part.

I slapped both of my wrists for this offense of being so politically incorrect, as I sit here and expect more smoke to see from the windows of my apartment in the future as I have today. While I sit here being very tolerant, just allow me to pray that the next smoke cloud I see will not have mushroom shape.

But if it does happen, I promise that in the last seconds of my life, I will not jump to any conclusions, and think that the British nanny was just as likely culprit as Bin Laden, PLO or Hamas.

Guilty until proven innocent, now???

Well, during the WWII, a German unit was stationed in my home town in Europe, and in fact, 2 German soldiers stayed im my grandparents' house for a period of time, and they were the nicest people they could think of, became good friends and continued to exchange letters with my grandparents etc.

But these people were also soldiers, they had to follow orders, and do what they were told. Those are the rules of the game, of war. Suppose a US bomber hit the house of my grandparents and killed those 2 soldiers. I guess in your eyes, it would have been an unspeakable strategy, since the 2 soldiers were not convicted by the jury of their peers, they were not read the Miranda rights, none of the "good stuff".

Looks like the fanatics have already won...

I am sure FDR and Churchill are fanatics in your eyes as well.

Joe
