Don't waste your breath, Rose.
They're are those even amongst us who have been brought up and bred to shit on the soil of their homeland, to condemn not only our relatively small mistakes, but also the overwhelming good we have done in the world, to gloat at our misfortunes and revel in the small successes of the destructive forces attacking us both within and without, whom despise our way of life and the values of self-sufficiency and personal responsibility which are the hallmarks of a free and proud people.
The time is over and done for exchanging words with such as these. From this moment on we shall and should be defined and judged as individuals and as a nation by our loyalties and our actions, or by our lack of them. Let others be judged, likewise. There is no more room for those who wish to straddle the fence, wriggling upon it like worms, shitting upon one side and asking for a helping hand from the other. Let those who are resolved to act be prepared for resistance. Let those who wish to debate and equivocate the relative merits of the differing political and cultural systems do it elsewhere, without our help.
Our friends, neighbors, and families have been attacked and destroyed, at home, in their offices, in our nation's leading city. A vicious assault has been perpetrated upon our people, our commerce, our culture, and our way of life. The gauntlet has been thrown down and now the World will test the mettle of We the American People. We are prepared.
The time has come for our friends and foes to fall upon one side of the fence or the other, and for us to find out who they are, and who they are not. Let their actions and their words answer for them now, and let us not forget.
