I don't see why it's necessary to short the market. You may make some money sure, but in doing so, your little profit may contribute to making a bad situation worse.
Sometimes people have to draw the line and say.. I am not going to be a force for the negative, I am not going to help bring things down. If it does happen, it won't be because of anything I did.

Saying that the dead people would want us to make money by shorting and taking advantage of their misfortune, I don't think is something that they would really want, do you?
That reminds me of the Macy's guy that says that the WW2 soldiers all really died just so they could sell socks on Memorial Day.
