It's the same thing, DJ. It's one of those atavistic things we, at least, have not outgrown. The community is bigger than our family, and it's bigger than our neighborhood.
I am not a team player. In fact, I am a lone wolf, usually, far happier alone thinking my own thoughts than pretending to be happy in a group. Selfish.
But this is my clan. Today, the red parts and the blue parts are together, in the red, white and blue clan.
You, Jay, Kastel, David, el mat, Kyros, Monty, Mq, dale, Bicycle, and the rest (most of the rest -g-) are my clan, too - a different clan, not the red, white and blue clan. A clan of the mind, of the unconquerable spirit.
I have been reading newspapers from all around the world, and am pleased - and reassured - to see support almost everywhere I turn, even the Moscow Times.
