Jeff,

I was just thinking about some of the things that have been said here. What I consider an interesting idea, then passed through my brain.

We are here talking about how acts of terrorism occur. And how much hatred there must for the end result to be such horrendous acts as were played out in our country yesterday.

Here is what struck me. Do we have to wonder where the hatred starts?? I think back over some of the hatred that has been spewed over the pages of SI. It may seem like low level radiation as it occurs, but when one looks at the big picture of how the hatred radiates all around, it crosses every race, gender, religious and political belief, even in this limited population. I have been taken back by the hatred on SI alone. With the small seeds of hatred sprouting in confined areas such as our neighborhoods or online communities, is it any wonder that when you look at the world as whole, the hatred can escalate to the magnitude which we experienced yesterday??
