Given the situation, it is reasonable to assume that only those who were not in the upper offices would have a chance of surviving. People would not consider jumping to their certain death if there was any other way out. One would have to think there will be thousands in the rubble. Hard to come to terms with the details. The firefighters, police, and other emergency personnel who went into the buildings are heroes.
