Frankly, I'm disappointed that we haven't already muscled our way in and just taken him. Whether his guilt for this meets the "shadow of a doubt" test or not. IMO, now is simply not the time to play completely "by the book". I want our Commander in Chief to have a meeting with our Sec. of State and all military top brass and tell them "I want the muh-fuh behind bars on American soil yesterday. Forget rules and just do it." Seize everyone who is at all associated with him, seize their money and other assets. Whether or not we're certain about his involvement in this one. We've already got enough on him. Anyone squawks about it, keep muscling through and mumble something about we're not ourselves because of national grief. If they interfere, use deadly force. This is the worst time for us to appear at all weak. We need to "take care of business" for the benefit not only of our foes, but our friends. Make our foes fear us and our friends respect us. They won't mind our "Mr. Hyde" conduct. Really. I want us to not only continue to be the great humanitarian benefactor we've always been (I'm inclined to think that still needs to continue), I want us to become known as ruthless killers who will go Old Testament on anyone who pulls this kind of crap with us. And it's important that we do this without waiting for our allies or the UN to give us permission. Owe us money? Take your time if you're having problems of your own. Owe us blood? Don't ignore that pounding on your door. It wouldn't really be that much out of character for us if you keep in mind we're the embodiment of Capitalism. We're savages at heart. A warlike people. Attila the Hun with enlightenment. Anyone else read that piece (reposted) about America by a Canadian journalist from a few years ago? My eyes had been watering all day. I broke down and sobbed when I read that piece. I want us to continue to be the America he described, but I'm very disappointed that the "swift" part of our retaliation hasn't happened. If it continues to be slow in coming, it'll be a huge dishonor not only to those who died yesterday, but to all of us. We're like the unusually large kid in school who has the sweet disposition because nobody ever thinks of crossing him. Well, if someone punches that kid in the mouth, he needs to pound them into the ground. Got that off my chest. God Bless America
