Clappy,
I just got done reading both your's, and your sidekick's last post. I was reading them aloud to my wife. It was difficult to finish reading them, my voice was shaking. My wife was in tears, and I barely held mine back.
Local radio stations are asking folks to turn on headlights today.........sign of support............
US flags are all out on the houses on my street. My wife went shopping yesterday, to look for a flag for the front of our house. Everyone is sold out.
Right now she is digging through the garage storage, looking for some old small ones we have somewhere.
I start to do some work and can't finish.....my concentration lost.
I am constantly drawn back to the TV and computer....flipping channels.....surfing the message boards....looking for some news....hopefully good......
I read 10 folks rescued from the WTC. Bless them, but that number is so small...........
One man, from a local community here, who was on the flight that crashed in Pa., called his wife and said they knew they were going to die, but 3 of them were going to try to take the plane back. He told his wife he loved her.....then was gone.
The first hero of this war, IMO.
911....a coincidence? Who knows? A married couple, close friends of ours, could not celebrate their anniversary yesterday. I remember them thinking no one could ever forget their anniversary.
No one ever will.
God bless all!!
