"...but then point out it's our own fault..." ---------- China aspires to become the dominant influence in Asia. The US administration has very publicly expressed its intention to maintain its existing dominance in the region, and inhibit China's expansion of power. Accordingly, China will be pleased at any perceived diminution of United States' power and influence.
