Two have now suggested that the CIA was damaged in the 70's as if nothing new has happened since then. Reagan was a great friend of the intelligence community, was he not? So was Bush, for obvious reasons. Further, to suggest that but for Democratic foot dragging the CIA or NSA might have some new technology that would permit them to track terrorist activities and prevent attacks such as this is also a crock. Never mind the fact that the DOD and CIA/NSA are also dense and often intractable bureaucracies of just the type that Republicans would like to slice and dice. Ask yourself how they got that way and who provided the funding to facilitate it?
