Russia making hawkish rumblings about Afghanistan. I could see a Russia/NATO alliance forming with the military objective of unseating the Taliban and finding bin Laden, all with China's blessing. Gonna be very hard for that country to stay out of this. Still, Afghanistan is a very large country, looks to be about the size of France. Land-locked with neighbours that are not exactly friendly to America -- Iran and Pakistan. Even if the objectives of unseating the Taliban and killing bin Laden are realized -- then what? Occupation? Not bloody likely.
