walter, i walked down to the us embassy here in ottawa yesterday... i felt compelled to leave flowers and pay my respects.

Once through the rcmps on guard, i was astounded by the mass of flowers that had preceded me. It was 2am, and there were at least 50 people coming from different directions to do the same.

I can tell you that many of us share this sentiment. The us is our greatest ally and friend, and we wept at the sight of this atrocity.
