That's true.

But without the fire, or if it had been brought under control quickly, I understand the buildings would have survived.

That degree of fire wasprobably almost impossible to bring under control quickly, but I do wonder what happened to the sprinkler system -- I assume the building had one. Haven't heard anything about that.
