Me. I'm still long Mike ....though I thought seriously - for several hours - about selling after the unfortunate legal news. Forgive the pun, but the jury is still out on whether that litigation was a wise gamble using scarce resources. But I think I pretty much understand the various long term rich results they were ..are..shooting for. Will be a long time before any of us can really asses their judgement. Bramson's sale was a momentum breaker, but otherwise trivial in my opinion. 2.5% ain't much to be selling.
This is of course very far from a keepered media company, but at this point I must grudgingly admit it has become ... for now...a keepered media stock. So as long as I think KM is likely to succeed, I am long. I think it likely.
The core business should do from fair to well, and that should protect the downside to some degree. But sad to say, if KM demonstrably fails, I think the stock will suffer from a contracting valuation - just as it will benefit from a possibly dramatic valuation expansion - as well as earnings expansion - if it succeeds.
I usually just buy despair and sell glee Mike, so this one makes me nervous .... but I continue to like the odds, so I'll try to stick with this home run derby investment for a couple more years. A good company, that is taking chances, but that also has several fallback positions. Seems to me that most small caps with AXC's potential upside also usually have a higher than average risk of bankruptcy. I see little or no risk of that here.
So I am long. A mutha to hold though, isn't it?
