I don't think we will ever stop the violence in general. What we can do to minimize it is to on the one hand seek justice and freedom and peace where we can, and remain strong and resolute in our ability to counter or respond to attacks when our attempts at peaceful coexistance fails. Like the great seal of the United States we should be an Eagle with an olive branch in one claw, and mighty arrows in the other. Tim
