I'm glad you feel you have the credentials to be a critic.

Tom,
With all respect, I don't think that anyone needs "credentials" to be a critic of our leaders. It's the American way. Besides, I didn't see any particularly impressive credentials of those criticizing Clinton from the minute he stepped into office.

And, from what I've seen, we now have a President who is in so far over his head it's not funny. It WAS funny watching him try to talk about education and making this statement:

"You teach a child to read, and he or her will be able to pass a literacy test.''— Doubya in Townsend, Tenn., Feb. 21, 2001

However, faced with a real international crisis, it is not funny that we have a President who has trouble putting a grammatical sentence together. I wasn't alone yesterday in wishing that Clinton could be reinstated for a week or two to deal with this crisis and instill some sense of calm and control. I didn't feel any of that in watching this president read a two minute statement from a piece of paper between frantic calls to Dick Cheney and his Dad.
