I'm starting to think that the country is over-reacting, fueled by the media and the politicians.
We have a tremendous tragedy. But in essence what we have is four planes hijacked, flown into three buildings, in two specific locations by one group of fanatics. One SINGLE event.
In response we have pretty much shut down the most powerful economy and country in the world. Air travel closed down, schools closed, malls closed, markets closed, super high security, on and on...
The politicians and pundits talking endlessly about our weakness, our complacency, and how we will now have to give up our "freedoms"...
One event, the first serious terrorist attach on American soil. A horror show, repeated over and over on the networks.
Retaliate, YES. Mourn, YES. Shut down the country, NO. Hysteria, NO. Perspective, YES.
If you step back, and try to gain some perspective (very difficult), it's easy to become uncomfortable with the way the government, media and country are reacting.
