I went upstairs to watch the late-evening news and I can tell that I have arrived now -- I am sick of watching the news. Tomorrow I am going to go golfing or walking or drinking or whatever, but I am not watching the news.

A couple of things struck me. I saw for the 50th time the crash scene in PA. Every time I see it I think "Where the hell are the pieces? There are no pieces you can see?" Amazing.

The other thing was that silly Air Force 1 story again. It's not credible and Bush should have the good sense to drop it. Yes, he needed to be protected, but c'mon, they were after AF1?! The terrorists were ready to take on fighter jet escorts and AWACS or other sophisticated surveillance support?! He should be made to sit down and watch videos of Rudy: "George, that's balls; that's solidarity."
