general sherman was correct isn't the corollary to sherman's quote, "the only good radical islamic fundamentalist leader is a dead radical islamic fundamentalist leader?" by the way doug, you appear to have a wide knowledge of history. many years ago an old navy guy was telling me about some about some islamic fundamentalist uprising in libya or algeria in the 1800s. he said some usa forces were sent in to put down the "rebellion." i am not talking about the barbary pirates. i have searched for this but could not find anything on it (if it even happened). do you know anything about this?
