To support 50 people in the US for a year, give them flight lessons and fly them around etc. we are talking 1-2million USD. Not so hard for Bin-Laden to do himself I would think- though exactly how much money he has isn't clear, his father is very wealthy but he got thrown out of Saudi Arabia for criticizing the Royal Family and government.
