to my friends,
in a well planned military strike, i would expect a feint followed by a strike.

the feint, like a boxer's jab can be a set up for a bigger punch. in the military, the jab or feint is specifically intended to pull your strength away from the area of the main attack.

in the current situation, the feint may have been the warning that put some of our embassies and bases on alert about a week or 2 ago.

but with so many organizations on this playing field...that could have been yet another action and the current strike may be the jab to be followed by another bigger hit.

it is important to be alert to your surroundings and move away from any indication of trouble anywhere you travel. trust your instincts and get moving, especially if you feel uneasy but cannot identify why. this is no time to be sightseeing during any hazardous situation anywhere.

we have successfully battled terrorists before...i recall specific operations against the baader-meinhof gang and the red brigade both of which hit multiple American targets in the 60s and 70s. both organizations were eventually wiped out.

this is going to be a bigger deal...mainly because other governments are now openly aiding and assisting terrorist groups. do not expect a few cruise missiles and air strikes to put a quick end to this. we are going to inflict some serious damage on others very soon...full-on war with some of these countries is not out of the question and they may launch retaliatory strikes...i do not believe our resolve will weaken before several current terrorist groups are wiped out.

remember this...terrorists have no desire to battle armed soldiers. they specifically prefer to hit unarmed, defenseless targets. if you are in the latter group, at least take care to be aware of what is going on around you at all times.
for every person who died in NYC, at least 10 others survived by walking away from the danger the moment they recognized it.

never think it cannot get worse.
