I disagree. What did the terrorists do that was so sophisticated? Go to flight school? They had a great idea, use a fully fueled jet as the weapon, but this doesn't seem to be the work of immense genius.

I doubt that the terrorists intended to pancake the entire WTC. I think they just wanted to create fireballs and kill an appropriate number of people (a thousand or so). I imagine they sent two planes because they figured one of them would fail. Where is all the precision coordination here?

The only impressive work was done by the pilot in Washington. Hitting the Pentagon, that was clever. But again I don't see any gigantic costs that couldn't be handled by $10 million from Bin Laden.
