Fortunatly I wasn't scheduled out of town this week. Going to Japan in 10 days...... Travel by air is going to be redefined as a result of this. Yesterday 4 guys hired a cab to take them to Calf from Chicago.....fare 3 grand, for 30 hour trip. I'm not sure I'd want to spend 30 hours in a Chicago taxi with 5 other adults, but it beats walking. Airlines debt is downgraded this am. Haven't gone to a mall or store this week, but I can't imagine too many Americans were out shopping. My assistant is scheduled on a cruise sailing out of NY on Sat. We discussed and the odds are even money that the trip will be canceled.
