Beginning this month in the Atlanta area, Cingular will trial a true unified communications solution that helps wireless customers manage their calls, emails, voicemails, faxes, and paging messages from an easily accessed, single source anywhere, anytime.
The trial, powered by uReach(TM), provides Cingular customers with a universal mailbox for sending, receiving and managing a variety of message types from their Cingular wireless phones, landline phones, wireless PDAs or PCs, through the Internet -- virtually any communications devices they are using today. Additionally, the offering integrates advanced services, such as a find me / follow me service that can intelligently route calls to a user's location, an integrated address book, and a calendar with notification capabilities.

Typically, a consumer is managing separate wireless voicemail, home voicemail, office voicemail, and email boxes. Also highlighted is ubiquitous access, giving users the ability to listen to voicemails and any POP3-based emails (via text-to-speech software) accessed from any PC phone or wireless device.
