fear will drive the mkt lower as longs sell, and the more shorts that stay out of the mkt, the faster that fall will occur. shorts provide liquidity in a falling mkt and can only sell upticks.... the longs have and always will have control of the market, the shorts can only ride along on whatever path the longs choose to take, up or down.
