<<Are you Arab?>>
Dear John and Cheryl Williamson. I do not know if it is possible to reasonably discuss your written expressions with you. I will try.
I understand, I believe, how deeply frustrated and angry you two are about the awful events of Tuesday. Clearly, you are not alone as my guess is that millions of Americans share your views. Certainly, my family and friends are deeply pained and very concerned.
However, as educated, responsible and fairly affluent people, we have an obligation to set a positive example for our fellow investors, friends and others around the world.
Please, take it upon yourselves to tone down the rhetoric. I am sure that you do not want to be in any way responsible for our citizens taking violent action against residents of our country who are either Arab or Moslem.
For example, I ask you to stop and think for minute about our good friend here, Addi Jamshidi who lives and works on the West Coast. I do not know for sure that Addi is a Moslem (and probably originally from Iran), but I think he is. But even if I am not correct, assume for a minute that my assumption is correct. Is Addi supposed to be comforted by anything the two of you have written in the last two days.
Please, please ... tone down your comments.
Very sincerely, Ken Wilson |
