Interesting that you have to justify your position by invoking your training. Some of the most incapable people I know have advanced degrees in psychology and psychiatry. Like so many of them, you are convinced that your left leaning viewpoints are correct and that you are superior to others. You go by the "book", without an original thought of your own, so your speech is probably filled with glib euphemisms, much like the previous occupant of the oval office. A perjurer who can shed a tear at will, but who has no genuine concern for his fellow human beings.
Our president, George W Bush is, fortunately for us, cut from an entirely different cloth. He is a real man, truly respectful and caring of other men and woman. He is a man of great intelligence and resolve. His values are more characteristic of his father’s (WWII) generation, something of which our country needs considerably more.
His biggest flaw, which costs him so dearly in our culture which seems so centered on appearances and speech delivery, is his inability to invoke the charisma of a Reagan or even (yes) a Clinton. So what if we don’t have an "actor" in the White House who can’t always deliver his "lines" without the occasional pause to choose the right words, or the occasional hmmm, or uh.
I’ll take GW, a genuine American leader who has the best interests of our nation and her citizens at heart over a philandering, glib, lying, convicted perjurer, or a wooden hollow shell (the inventor of the Internet) anytime. |
