I don't think we have any other choice. It seems like we're in some sort of Star Trek episode, at the turning point where nationality and race were finally done away with in favor of all humanity and peaceful coexistence of different cultures.

But to achieve this next step will require a sacrifice the likes of which we have never seen. While there may be no need to risk legions of ground troops, each citizen of the free world will have to take risks in their daily lives to ensure the goal can be met. Each of us must stand up to the challenge individually.
