Iomega in new Levenger Catalog

Word lovers around the world know Levenger (http://www.levenger.com ) as a purveyor of high-end reading and writing tools. Their latest catalog (sorry, I couldn't find it at their web site) contains a new item, a "media wallet". The wallet is leather-grained and according the the catalog description "has two vertical and two horizontal pockets that can accommodate portable media such as six 3.5" disks, two Zip or Jazz [sic] disks, and/or two CDs in a removable sleeve." The picture in the catalog shows a Zip disk.

They're just up the road from here so I think I'll take a drive this afternoon and educate them on how to spell Jaz. :)

BTW, I have been using my internal Jaz drive on a daily basis since January 1996 without a glitch. Don't confuse a handful of complaints with the chorus of silence from satisfied customers. I'm sure IOM doesn't like their customers to have problems any more than other companies do, but the fact is that when you ship huge volumes of any product there are bound to be a few that fail. IOM's recent proactive moves in recalling a batch of Jaz cartridges which might have had problems shows that they take these reports seriously and will work to ensure that all customers are happy. The service argument just doesn't hold water.
