Plea for Tolerance...

To all: If you consider yourself a rational person, re-read the posts about my religious and political statements on this board. All I did was DISAGREE. I stated MY OPINION. It was consistently taken as an attack upon the beliefs of others. It was not.

Do you understand how the terrorists are much more threatened by us because we are a powerful both militarily and politically? Just being "US" as a country is threatening in the same way many of you found my opposing views to be threatening.

The folks on this board should be an intellectually superior cross section and better equipped to reason and discuss rationally. If the reaction to my views was so emotional here, how much worse is this intolerant attitude in the general population?

You folks should be the leaders. You are setting an example for those around you. The next time a Mosque is burned, a gay person is harassed, or someone is discriminated against for their color or their religion you only have yourselves to blame.

I will say it again, we have to learn to listen to everyone, wether we perceive them to be a friend or an enemy. Sometimes our perceptions are wrong, and everyone who does not agree with us is not against us.
