mm,

America has to decide what it really wants? Does it want to protect its way of life more than it wants vengeance? They are not the same thing. What if the advisors are telling Bush that there is a real threat that this could escalate into a regional conflict with unspeakable consequences to our way of life? There are lots of what ifs, but this idea that America just starts firing carries with it enormous risks to my well-being and the well-being of the rest of the world.

What have the rest of us suffered, those not directly killed or injured? A few have suffered the loss of friends and loved ones, but the vast majority have only lost some peace of mind. A terrible loss, but compared to the bulk of the planet and the struggles that most face everyday, it's not that much. Do not subject the world to more risk in the search for justice.

As a non-American, I think I can speak for many of us when we say: "Brother, we support you and we will stand with you, but you alone do not make the rules and you do not have the right to imperil my family in an over-zealous quest for revenge."
