First, I would never dishonor men by equating madness with strength and assertiveness.

Secondly, Pacifist versus Assertive would be accurate. Gender is a non-issue. I'm sure Maggie Thatcher and Winston Churchill are kindred spirits. As are Neville Chamberlin and Jimmy Carter. [I struggle to refrain from using current pols.]

Let's just let all pacifist journalists, of whatever gender, contemplate their own navels. . . I'm sure they will chose a quiet, secure place to do so.<g>
