Quite amazing that nobody (including those who participated in the vigil at Capitol Hill) asked for God's forgiveness. They all asked for strenght, wisdom and consolotion- which is fine- but no one thought for one moment that America was being sent a divine message from the Lord. America has just emerged from a decade of decandence where greed, sex, and power are the norm. Almost every tenet contained in God's Word has been violated. We have seen a president who has transgressed much of God's law while remaining very popular! Not only that, but his wife is now a senator! America has great responsabilities as the only superpower in the world- the culture it has been exporting is corrupt and evil (this is the only part the terrorists got right). We have developed a liberal mindset that hampers those who would do what is right and condone those who practice evil. Situational ethics explain away any sin that is commited (even the word ``sin`` is considered insulting!). Yes, God wishes to heal and strenghten, but repentance is the first necessity to His Compassion. God has in numerous occasions in the past sent trials to those nations that had become arrogant to teach them humility- often by using other nations recognized for their extreme barbarity. On Tuesday two symbols of American perceived superiority were attacked- finance and military power. God is trying to tell us that our power resides in Him and that we are strongest when we are on our knees.
