But mike- I am deeply sympathetic...believe me, I am....but as a country, if we do the wrong thing, we could bring a full scale World War here. No one wins that. We need to win this war.
This was one well-coordinated attack. But only one. It is very unfortunate that it happens anywhere in the country, let alone in such a highly populated, and important center as New York.
From purely strategic terms (believe me, I am not trying to be flippant here, but our military leaders are paid to think in these terms), this was a huge wake-up call, but not a severe defeat of our capability to defeat the enemy.
Quite honestly, I am very worried if even the 1/4 of the country believes as you do. If so, we are woefully ill-prepared for what may occur over the next few year(s). We need to think about the entire country here. Your children, my children, future generations... |
