ONE OF THE SIMPLEST AND MOST TRENCHANT OBSERVATIONS YET
ON THE POLITICAL SCENE DISCUSSED HERE:

"If you have more friends, you will have fewer enemies"

A national foreign policy aimed at making friends (while
making money, of course) is a helluva lot better than one
that is focused on control and power.

If you want to rid the world of terrorists, you have to at least be willing to consider:

-- who are these people?
-- why do they think that way?
-- why do they hate us?
-- how did that come about?
-- did we have any part in that?

If you just demonize them and annihilate them, you find that
you are just fueling the fires of the next generation of
terrorists.

The opportunity exists here (over time) to rid the world of
terrorism, or substantially reduce it. But it won't be done by the gun or the bomb.

Namaste!
