I apologize for deflating your noble, honorable sentiments, my friend, and they ARE noble and honorable, but the sad fact of the matter is the brokerage houses and Wall Street gurus are all VERY busy formulating plans to maximize trading profits during this terrible calamity at the expense of the small players like you and me. They feed off of human emotions like inhumane, robotic, money eating machines.
Indeed, cyberspace is overflowing right now with "professional" strategies designed to profit from the ensuing chaos; human tragedy and suffering be damned. Make no mistake, the "big boys" would pursue ways to profit from their own mothers' funerals without shedding a tear, except for a public relations tear for the MSNBC and CNN cameras.
You see, that's what it takes to be a Wall Street guru. They must be emotionless, heartless missionaries, and their sole mission is to make money, literally, no matter what transpires. Sad, isn't it? But isn't a little of that in each of us? Wall Street has just perfected it.
And the media? They are so happy they have "something" to report, they can barely contain themselves. Sadly, people have become quite detached in the world, for whatever reason.
