The FBI is capable of cracking (using brute force) almost all known crypto systems of available length - see Applied Cryptography for a discussion of this. Infact, if you go to www.distributed.net, they can crack 128 bit SSL sessions in 15 minutes (of course, they only do that for demonstration purposes, or, I am sure, when requested to do so by the FBI)

What I meant by my statement is that these terrorists do not have access to talent that can come up with new cryptographic techniques that will block the FBI.
