Milan, You are quite incorrect. There are many methods of encryption that the FBI cannot crack from one time pads to long keys with short messages and non repeating long keys.
These long keys cannot be cracked in any realistic time frame with the fastest modern computers. 256 bit is uncrackable in a short enough time frame to do any good, they may be able to crack it in 5 years. going from 128 to 256 bits is orders of magnitude longer to crack. 8 bits extra increases the time needed by a factor of 10.. so 128 extra bits is a whole lot longer.
