We should use whatever force is necessary to put a stop to this sort of thing. No more. And no less. To an extent I agree but if you try to carefully figure the exact amount of force needed, and then ratchet it up each time its not enough you get a situation like Vietnam. Sending merely sufficent force results in more casualtees on your side and more chance for the other side to evade and recover. I believe that some special forces commander once said something along the lines that you should bring a man's force for a boy's job. Tim
