Whether I like it or not we are in a war footing with at least Bin Laden and probably Afganistan. In this situation as with the Gulf War I hope the best for Bush. It is time that the advice and counsel be for the good of all America which has not been the case in the past. For all I know the plan may be to airlift more Christian missionaries into Afganistan as if that would solve the problem. I am worried because I honestly think Bush may be that stupid and that fixated. I fervently hope not.

I am hoping that NATOs guidence and the re-emergence of Colin Powell means that this will be treated as an honest war against an unusual enemey, terrorism where ever it lives and not necessarily a particular government. I hope this war takes us to Northern and Southern Ireland just as surely as it takes us to Afganistan, Syria, Libia, or Egypt.

This is Bush's biggest test and he has to take the test without consideration of my opinion or advice. I am and will remain intensly interested as this will define my future and my children's future on for thousands of years.
