Re: I think we need to do whatever it takes to get off our addiction to foreign oil. The initial step can be to seize the oil fields of the middle east, and split their ownership among NATO and the Russians. It was the right thing to do, the decent thing to do, when the advanced western nations turned over their oil production technology to people who happened to occupy those regions at the time. But had no clue regarding what lay beneath their feet. It hasn't worked out. It's time to exercise just a little bit of that imperialism we keep being accused of.
