big bull,
"But they don't, they want to come to "my house" and kill me, my family, and destroy every thing I hold dear."
I will have to re-read Bin Laden's Declaration of War on America, but what I understood the first time thru was that he wants the fall of the existing Saudi regime, oust the Infidels (us) from protecting the oil fields, stop trade with the Infidels, give the oil wealth to the people (of his designate it sounds), establish his interpretation of Allah's laws rather man's laws over Islamic people, and several other things. But he does not state that he want to extend his sphere beyond the Islamic states. He calls for a war of terrorism until such time that armies of Islam will not be decimated.
JQP may have some better understandings to add, but it sounds to a large degree that he is really upset with the way the oil reserve in Saudi has been handled. His declaration focuses on oil as much, if not more, as it does religion, that is one of the reasons I suggest everyone on this thread in particular read his rantings. As JQP put it, he makes Slider appear straight forward and concise.
In no way I am defending any of his beliefs, I only want to better understand my enemy.
